FIFTY FIFTY Aran underwent surgery following a recent health scare.
On Tuesday, FIFTY FIFTY's agency Attractt released a statement on the girl group's fan café confirming that Aran underwent an operation due to a health condition.

What Happened to FIFTH FIFTY Aran?
According to the fan café message, Aran initially experienced discomfort while practicing, leading her to visit a hospital for a full checkup.
Attractt noted that the idol has been receiving periodic treatment for an undisclosed health issue amid the girl group's promotions. However, her doctor advised her after the latest checkup that she should receive the procedure to recover as soon as possible.

"The agency has consulted both Aran and her parents regarding her continued activities, and based on Aran's strong wishes to promote, she has participated in group activities as long as they did not require overexertion," the agency said. "Then, earlier today, after a lengthy consultation, Aran chose to go through with the surgery and it was carried out this morning."
Attractt assured fans that the surgery was successful and that FIFTY FIFTY Aran is already recovering. It pledged to prioritize the idol's health and recuperation while basing its decision on medical experts' advice.

FIFTY FIFTY debuted its four members, Saena, Aran, Sio, and Keena, in November 2022. It initially dropped its first EP, The Beginning of Cloud, before releasing the single album, The Beginning: Cupid, in February.
The latter's single has since made the girl group more famous, becoming the fastest K-pop act to enter the Billboard's Hot 100 chart with the single. Cupid also went viral on TikTok, with the #cupidchallenge hashtag surpassing over 100 million views.
Sports Chosun explains that the name FIFTY FIFTY means 50 vs. 50 chance of "ideal versus reality." The name also reportedly represents the first 50 fans, while the other represents the members. Thus, they are 100 when they add up.
Despite being a hit song globally, Cupid has not entered Melon's top 100 list, per The Korea JoongAng. Still, it continues to appear on Spotify's Viral 50 Global playlist since March.
