Fate: The Winx Saga Creator Reveals Live-Action Movie And Animated Series Following Netflix's Cancellation

Following the disappointing news of the cancellation of the series on Netflix, the creator of Fate: The Winx Saga, Iginio Straffi reveals on Instagram that it is not the end for the title as he will be creating new projects for it with an animated series reboot and live-action movie.

Fate: The Winx Saga will not be pushing forward on Netflix following the announcement of the showrunner, Brian Young, on Instagram, that the show has been cancelled, and the creator of the series, expressed his disappointment on the news.

On Instagram, creator Iginio Straffi revealed that while Fate: The Winx Saga was cancelled on Netflix, he will continue working on the title in different forms -- a live-action movie, and animated series reboot.

Straffi elaborated on the animated series reboot, “First off—a brand new CG Winx animated series reboot is going into production. Yes, a reboot that I promise to sweep you back to the Winx world. Stay tuned to know more about it and where to find it”

The original series where the characters came from was an animated show on Nickelodeon titled Winx Club which had eight seasons.

Straffi added that there will also be a live-action movie of Fate: The Winx Saga, “For all the love you have given to Winx, I am working hard hoping to bring you a top-quality movie where you can experience the Winx world, embracing once again all the core values of what this iconic brand has meant for you.”

Straffi even shared the same values which the movie will be having, “Believing in yourself, empowerment, understanding true friendship, remembering the laugh out moments and of course enjoying the sparkling transformation times.”

Fate: The Winx Saga follows Bloom as she tries to learn about her true identity and she finds out she can control fire. Bloom is revealed to have the Dragon Flame, an ancient power, which is also connected to the cartoon version, Winx Club.

Bloom gets powerful fairies as her roommates in Alfea with Stella having powers on light which includes both solar or lunar, Musa who is an empath fairy, Terra with ability to manipulate anything connected to the ground or Earth, and Aisha who can control water. Later on, they have Flora, cousin of Terra.

The finale of Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2 left a lot of questions unanswered as Bloom went into the Realm of Darkness in search of her true mother.
