Kevin Feige has long proven that he has his finger on the pulse and earlier this year, the Marvel Studios boss finally granted the fans' years-long request of seeing John Krasinski get cast as Reed Richards aka Mister Fantastic. While his gratifying involvement in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness might have been brief, his cameo was well-received by the MCU fandom.

As it stands, we still don't have any idea if the studio will keep Krasinski as Mister Fantastic for future projects but fans are definitely hopeful. Naturally, they'd also love to his Emily Blunt join the franchise as Sue Storm but it looks like it isn't happening, not yet, at least.

Speaking with Extra TV, the A Quiet Place star claims that Marvel Studios hasn't approached her for the role. She said: "Well, I know nothing, so I’ll just say that. But I mean, I never know how to answer these questions! No one has approached me about the Invisible Woman, so we’ll just leave it at that. I have not been approached about the Invisible Woman."

While Blunt is touched by the fan support, she adds that she really doesn't know whether or not she'll play Sue Storm in the MCU. She added: "I don’t know! I don’t know. I’m always very touched by the fan-casting, I think that’s cool."

It's worth mentioning that Feige made it clear that they're focusing on crafting Fantastic Four's script first before making casting decisions. Whether or not Krasinski and Blunt end up becoming 2/4 of the MCU's First Family remains to be seen but it's definitely a casting choice most of us wouldn't mind seeing.

Marvel Studios' Fantastic Four is scheduled for release in cinemas on February 14, 2025.
