It may take a while for Marvel's iconic First Family to make their official Earth-616 debut, but we do have an idea of the kind of ensemble Marvel is trying to go for, at least according to the rumors floating around the internet. Here is the Fantastic Four cast guide for the MCU reboot!

The Marvel Cinematic Universe will soon be joined by the First Family and though it remains to be seen who will be starring in the reboot, we have a pretty good idea of which big celebrities are part of the lineup.

As of writing, there isn't much news yet on whom we're going to see make their MCU debut as the First Family of Marvel.

However, there have been plenty of casting rumors and speculations over the year, and here's a list of which actors we might be seeing in the billion-dollar franchise's debut.

Who Will Be Reed Richards?

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness brought out a little sneak peek of what the First Family would look like once they joined the MCU.

John Krasinski took on the role of Reed Richards in the Doctor Strange sequel, but this posed two problems: the Smartest Man Alive was but a variant from Earth-838, not Earth-616 aka the main MCU reality.

The other problem is that we last saw Krasinski's Richards turn into spaghetti under the Scarlet Witch's powers, which deemed him dead - in that universe, at least.

Krasinki openly admitted that the filming for the role was fun, but didn't disclose whether he'd reprise the titular character or not.

As for casting rumors, though, Netflix's You star Penn Badgley was approached for the role previously.

Another was the Kylo Ren star Adam Driver, whose initial rumor of being the frontrunner for Richards was immediately debunked via The Hot Mic podcast, "They said Adam Driver was never really engaged in this. They sent Adam the script a while back and he said that he couldn't connect with the character on the page and he passed very early on."

Back in September, a wild rumor floated around social media that Jake Gyllenhaal is also in contention for the part. In fact, several sources claimed that the Mysterio actor is now the frontrunner to play Reed in the reboot.

Now that the SAG-AFTRA strikes are over, rumor has it that Gyllenhaal is still the top pick but as of writing, nothing official has been set in stone.

Who Will Be Johnny Storm?

Chris Evans, who previously played Marvel's Captain America and Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch, admitted on MTV News that he would love to return as Johnny in the MCU reboot:

"Wouldn't that be great? No one's ever come to me about that. I mean, I don't exactly look the same anymore. I really love that character. Aren't they doing something now with Fantastic Four?"

Alongside Evans, Paul Mescal of Normal People was reportedly offered the role of Human Torch alongside Stranger Things' Joe Keery, The Perks of Being a Wallflower's Logan Lerman, and The Boys' Chase Stokes.

This one's quite a doozy trip. Buckle up.

Casting rumors for Sue Storm aka Invisible Woman include Amanda Seyfried (The Dropout), Natalia Dyer (Stranger Things), Melissa Benoist (Supergirl), Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World, Black Mirror), Emily Blunt (A Quiet Place), Kristen Bell (The Good Place), and Mila Kunis (Family Guy).

While none of the aforementioned actors have addressed their piece, Kunis did, on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

The thing is, she was photographed by the paparazzi having lunch with the Fantastic Four reboot director Matt Shakman in Los Angeles this February 2023.

Kunis was quick to reject she was cast, but she does know who's going to be:

"I am not in Fantastic Four, but I know who is. But I don't want to get in trouble with The Mouse, so none of you will find out."

Who Will Be Ben Grimm aka The Thing?

There had been a couple of rumors surrounding the MCU's planned changes on Ben Grimm aka The Thing's character once he debuts on screen.

Initially played by Michael Chiklis, 2025's Fantastic Four is rumored to be acted out by a person of color, and word on the street said that The Thing is going to be Jewish (via The Hot Mic, by Jeff Sneider).

If this does come true, then The Thing would be the second confirmed Jewish character in the MCU after Oscar Isaac's Moon Knight.

As it so happens, nobody has been speculated to play Ben Grimm yet.

Who Will Be Doctor Doom?

Originally played by Julian McMahon in the 2005 film and 2007 sequel, then Toby Kebbell in the 2015 film, the role of Doctor Doom will undoubtedly be a major part to play in the MCU.

Considering that the Kang variant, Victor Timely, met his instant doom trying to repair the TVA in his own hands, there's a chance that this was Marvel's way of addressing cutting off ties with Jonathan Majors, given his domestic abuse allegations.

That said, a recent report from reputable insider Jeff Sneider claimed that Marvel is eyeing Pearl Harbor's Josh Hartnett for the Doctor Doom role.

But again, these are all mere speculations. For now. Especially since the Fantastic Four reboot doesn't get its theatrical release until 2025.
