Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is coming to HBO Max later this month. It has just been confirmed that the third film of the Harry Potter spin-off movie series will finally be available on the streaming service by the end of May.

HBO Max confirmed that Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore will be available on the service starting May 30, 2022. That's only over a month since the sequel premiered in theaters in mid-April. Although some people are surprised that the Harry Potter spin-off is getting a digital release so soon, it's welcome news for fans who were not able to see the film in the cinemas earlier this year.

It's interesting to note that the third Fantastic Beasts film is being pushed by Warner Bros. now that it has finally been released. After all, production on The Secrets of Dumbledore was delayed due to COVID-19 and the release date was pushed back as well. In addition to that, Gellert Grindelwald actor Johnny Depp announced his resignation from the sequel and was later replaced by Mad Mikkelsen.

Despite all the problems it encountered, The Secrets of Dumbledore eventually got its theatrical release and is currently the sixth highest-grossing film of the year. However, it is also the lowest-grossing film in the Wizarding World franchise.

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is the follow-up to 2018's Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. The film is directed by David Yates and brings back Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Callum Turner, and Katherine Waterston. It is the first movie to feature Mads Mikkelsen as Gellert Grindelwald following Johnny Depp's departure from the franchise. It premiered on April 15, 2022.

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore will premiere on HBO Max on May 30, 2022.
