There's a lot of anticipation right now for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, the third installment in the series which will continue Newt Scamander and the gang's wizarding journey in the 20th century. Last December, the much-anticipated first trailer was released which gave us a glimpse at Mads Mikkelsen as the new Gellert Grindelwald and hinted that it's going to be more epic and bigger than the first two films. A lot of fans are now excited to see what they have in store for the next chapter.
A few days ago, Jude Law announced that a new trailer was supposed to be released yesterday. However, it didn't end up happening which made a lot of fans wonder if it was canceled or they made a mistake on the announcement. But as it turns out, as confirmed by the film's social media page, the release of the new trailer has indeed been delayed indefinitely.

They didn't provide the details regarding the reason behind the delay. There are some speculations by fans that perhaps the film's release will be delayed. However, there are reports that have suggested that the delay is due to the ongoing Ukraine-Russia crisis. There is no announcement yet regarding the new release date for the second trailer, but we should be hearing details about it soon.
While it might be disappointing for some fans that the trailer release has been delayed, we're still going to get it anyway soon and it seems that the studio decided to delay it out of respect to what is happening right now in Ukraine and it might not be good timing if they released it as scheduled yesterday. If we could make a guess, they might move the release of the new trailer to next week.
Per the official synopsis, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is set in the 1930s leading up to the Wizarding World's involvement in World War II and "will explore the magical communities in Bhutan, Germany, and China in addition to previously established locations including Brazil, the United States, and United Kingdom. With Grindelwald's power rapidly growing, Albus Dumbledore entrusts Newt Scamander and his friends on a mission that will lead to a clash with Grindelwald's army, and will lead Dumbledore to ponder how long he will stay on the sidelines in the approaching war."
Returning cast members include Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Callum Turner, and Jessica Williams. Mikkelsen joins as Gellert Grindlewald, replacing Depp who played the role in the last two films. David Yates is also back to direct the film.

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is set to be released in the US on April 15, 2022, and in the UK a week earlier on April 8, 2022.
