It has been a while since got any new updates on Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore but Jude Law has some great news for Harry Potter fans. The Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald star has confirmed that the new trailer for Fantastic Beasts 3 will be released later this week!
Back in December, the first trailer for The Secrets of Dumbledore was shared and it gave us an awesome look at what Newt Scamander has been up to all this time. In addition to that, it offered a brief glimpse at Mads Mikkelsen as the new Gellert Grindelwald after Johnny Depp's departure from the Harry Potter franchise.
But will we get to see more footage of the new Grindelwald before the sequel actually premieres this year? Jude Law assures Potterheads that they won't have to wait much longer. A new video shared by the film's official Twitter account features Law announcing when the new Fantastic Beasts 3 trailer will be released. Check it out below.
This is certainly great news for fans who have been waiting for an update on The Secrets of Dumbledore. Although the first trailer already gave us an idea of what will happen in the sequel, we still want to see more of the upcoming film. With that in mind, we can't wait until Thursday to see the new teaser.
The synopsis for Fantastic Beasts 3 reads as follows:
"Professor Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen) is moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers. But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines?"
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore also stars Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Callum Turner, Jessica Williams, and Katherine Waterston. The film will premiere in theaters on April 15, 2022.
