Fantastic Beasts 2: New Images Of Grindelwald And Dumbledore

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is set to come out in less than a year, and we've been getting a steady stream of promotion for out next trip to the Wizarding World. We know that Grindelwald will be a huge focus of the movie this time around, and we have some new stills of Johnny Depp as well as Grindelwald's rival Albus Dumbledore via USA Today.

Director David Yates also gives this character description of Dumbledore:

"Decades before the wizard will help Harry, Dumbledore is a teacher at Hogwarts who ‘refuses to conform to the status quo' and is ‘passionate, mischievous and an inspiration' to his young students. Dumbledore sees Newt as a kindred spirit, an outsider, who is misunderstood. They recognize each other's strengths and vulnerabilities."

Looking at Dumbledore's image, I have a feeling this is peek at his office in Hogwarts back when he was still the Transfiguration professor. Considering how kooky Dumbledore is in the books, I want to see what Law has decided to do with the character when it comes to his youth. I'm guessing Dumbledore would still be pretty pissed at Grindelwald for the death of his sister Ariana.

As for the woman next to Grindelwald, I have no idea who she's supposed to be. A good guess is that she's one of the Lestranges or maybe just another dark witch who's pledged herself in service to Grindelwald. We'll probably get some answers as the release date draws nearer.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is set for a release on Nov. 16, 2018.
