Fantastic Beasts 2: Grindelwald Connection To Queenie Teased In New TV Spot

There is little doubt that Gellert Grindelwald will be up to no good in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. Interestingly, a new TV spot suggests that Johnny Depp's character might have an unusual connection to Queenie Goldstein (Alison Sudol).

The TV spot features mostly the same footage from the film's final trailer. However, we also get a glimpse of Grindelwald facing Queenie in what appears to be a well-made apartment.

There is little doubt that Queenie is threatened by Grindelwald's presence since she has her wand out. However, it is also possible that the villain has plans for Tina Goldstein's sister. After all, Queenie is a powerful natural Legilimens who can detect lies and deceit in another person. There are speculations that Grindelwald wants the young witch to join him in his dark mission so she can manipulate his enemies.

We already know that Queenie is a spirited young woman who charmed fans in the first Fantastic Beasts film. However, our only glimpses at the character in the sequel show Queenie looking troubled and very different from her vivacious self. There is a possibility that Grindelwald has something to do with the change and he might even convince her to work for him in Fantastic Beasts 2.

The Crimes of Grindelwald also stars Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, and Ezra Miller. New cast members include Zoe Kravitz, Callum Turner, Claudia Kim, and Jude Law. We will also meet Dumbledore's longtime friend Nicholas Flamel, who will be played by Brontis Jodorowsky.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will premiere on November 16.
