It's been close to a year since The Umbrella Academy star Elliot Page bravely admitted to the world that he is a transgender man and while his transition hasn't been the smoothest, it's quite evident that he's grown more comfortable with his own skin. Over the last couple of months, the award-winning star has been showing off the progress of his physical transition much to the astonishment of his friends and supporters.
Now, Page is once again making headlines after he made his first official public appearance since coming out at the 2021 Met Gala. Unsurprisingly, the spotlight was put on the X-Men actor and despite the fact that the said fashion spectacle is notorious for celebrities going over the top with their outfits, for his first fashion event as a transman, Elliot decided to keep things simple, wearing a basic oversized black and white suit paired with stylish kicks.
His appearance at the event quickly became a hot trending topic on Twitter and was met with mixed reactions from fans due to his fashion choices. While some fans were gushing over the way he looks, there are people who thought Elliot's look was a little too plain for an event best known for its grandeur. Honestly, I couldn't care less about his "plain" outfit at the Met Gala. I'm just ecstatic that Elliot Page is slowly coming out of his shell after years of being forced to conceal who he truly is and it's also great that his peers and colleagues were beyond supportive of him during this new chapter in his life.
