Fans of Zack Snyder's Justice League are Mad Over the Media Calling Them Toxic

The release of Zack Snyder's Justice League is just hours away and fans couldn't wait for it to come. The early viewing for the media, critics, influencers, and some fans who won a slot were able to view the film. There were multiple positive reviews for the film. A lot of the negative ones are claiming that it was too long. However, some media outlets are writing articles that offended many Snyder cut fans.

Fans have campaigned to see the Snyder cut for many years after the 2017 Joss Whedon's Justice League failed critically and bombed at the box office. Fans used #ReleasetheSnyderCut as the name of the campaign. Some fans bought billboards on Time Square displaying the hashtag. In the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con, a plane with the banner stating #ReleasetheSnyderCut hovered in the sky.

The campaign grew louder as years went by. In late 2020, it was revealed that the infamous Snyder cut will be coming on HBO Max. It was a success that many DC and Snyder fans celebrated. There were some detractors saying it didn't exist and even calling the fans "weird" but everything was going great. Following the early screening, the positive reviews for the films were everywhere.

Some news outlets said that giving in to the fans' campaign was a dangerous precedent and some articles even referred to the fans as toxic. This is why Snyder had to defend the fans in an interview with Cinemablend. The director stated that the fandom has done so much and even raised money for suicide prevention.

Some of the sentiments of the media were the harassment that some fans did online. They also said that the movement is insatiable because after the Snyder cut is out, fans will now campaign for #RestoretheSnyderverse. Nonetheless, some fans stated that just because a part of the fandom is committing these acts, that doesn't mean everyone supports it.

The recent articles and reports from some media outlets calling Snyder cut fans toxic have angered them. It's a clash of sentiments that will not be ending any time soon. Whether the Snyderverse will be restored in some shape or form is not yet confirmed, but just like how the Snyder cut is released, it's not impossible. After all, stranger things have happened.
