Netizens can’t help but praise NewJeans’ live encore stage on Inkigayo. After winning the number one spot in the show’s January 15 episode, the girls performed “OMG” live.

NewJeans is now topping different charts and has even become known worldwide. Even their live performance gets the attention of many.

NewJeans’ Live Performance

During the live performance, each group’s members, Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein, held their own microphones and sang their parts.

As expected, the girls stunned the audience with their beautiful voices. Some said Hanna is “exceptionally good,” setting the bar high for the group, per AllKpop.

Others also praised Hyein’s “beautiful vocal tone,” while Danielle is said to ooze confidently while singing live.

However, some say they can’t hear Haerin very well, though it can’t be denied that they’re all pretty good. Another one also noticed that Minji seemed a little nervous and might need to work on her confidence.

NewJeans Takes on the U.K. Charts

Although NewJeans can still be considered rookies, they’re already making history by entering the U.K. charts.

The U.K.’s Official Charts, equivalent to Billboard’s U.S. charts, revealed that the girls’ hit single, “Ditto,” had become its first song to enter the Official Singles Chart.

The track debuted at No. 95 on the said chart for the week of January 13 to 19.

This makes NewJeans the fastest K-pop girl group in history to enter the Official Singles Chart. This feat comes just six months after their debut.

NewJeans Taking the World by Storm

NewJeans is now taking the world by storm after debuting in July 2022. Danielle just made another milestone after signing with Burberry.

Their latest album, OMG, just dropped on January 2, but it already sold 480,000 copies, almost doubling that of their debut album, New Jeans.

“OMG” also amassed a whopping over 40.3 million streams in its first week on Spotify, making it the fourth most streamed album by a K-pop girl group in its first week, sparring BLACKPINK’s three albums.

Aside from beginning a promising music career, NewJeans is also getting the fashion world's attention.

The girls also graced a Chanel event together a month after their debut, while Hanni became a Gucci brand ambassador three months after being introduced.

Hyein also joined Louis Vuitton's world, following in BTS's footsteps. That said, Minji and Haerin may be the next to become brand ambassadors after wearing Chanel and Dior clothing to events.
