The creators of King of the Hill posted a touching tribute to Jonathan Joss following his tragic passing. However, fans couldn't help but think it was all insincere, considering the way they mistreated Joss in their last meeting.
Why are King of the Hill Fans Upset at the Creator's Apology?

Due to the unfortunate murder of Jonathan Joss, who not only previously played Redcorn but also in Parks and Recreation as the Native American tribe leader Chief Ken Hotate, the King of the Hill creators spoke their farewell message, as well.
"Rest in peace, Jonathan Joss," they wrote on the official King of the Hill Instagram account, "Jonathan brought John Redcorn to life for over a dozen seasons, including in the upcoming revival."
"His voice will be missed at King of the Hill," the message continued, "And we extend our deepest condolences to Jonathan's friends and family," as the post was signed by Mike Judge, Greg Daniels, and Saladin Patterson.
Despite the seemingly heartfelt tribute dedicated to Joss, fans pointed out that they mistreated the former actor on their panel by not inviting him to the show's revival, despite his involvement in it.
Previous reporters spread fake news of Joss being reportedly upset for not being included in season 14, when in reality, the actor's concern was directed at being excluded from his own panel event.
What Happened to the Former King of the Hill Actor?
For the uninformed, Jonathan Joss reprised his role as the iconic character, Redcorn, but the crew didn't appear to have welcomed him with open arms. Instead, he was escorted out of the ATX TV Festival panel held in Austin, Texas, for the series.
In a clip recorded by a fan, Joss was seen expressing his concerns to the panel through the microphone, "I'm an actor. I see a mic, I use it. I see a wrong, I make it right. I take a breath, I want to breathe."
While continuing his rant, he informed his colleagues that his house had burned down three months prior to the panel event and claimed that the arson was a form of hate crime "because I'm gay."

On Sunday night, 59-year-old Jonathan Joss was shot dead in front of his own home. According to his partner, Tristan Kern de Gonzales, the assailant merely approached them, cocking up a gun as they wept for their burnt down house.
As the shooter, later identified to be one of their neighbors, Sigfredo Ceja Alvarez, spouted homophobic slurs against the couple, he shot Joss, leaving him to his demise.
While the gunman has since then been thrown behind bars to face charges for first-degree murder, Tristan's letter detailed every alarming crime committed against them: from burning their sentimental house down to "gifting" them the skull of their deceased dog, and for blatant hate crime towards their relationship.
What makes things worse is that Joss's murderer has been released from jail on a $200,000 bond Monday night, as confirmed by a Bexar County court spokesperson.
Sigfredo is currently under house arrest and is not allowed access to any firearms or contact with any part of Joss's family. His court hearing is scheduled on August 19, according to News 4 San Antonio.
