It's been a rough couple of months for WWE's Mercedes Varnado, known amongst fans by her wrestling name Sasha Banks after the multi-time Women's Champion was reportedly ousted from the company. To those unaware, Varnado allegedly walked out of the company's flagship program WWE Monday Night RAW last May over frustrations with how her on-screen character is being booked to lose despite being one-half of the Women's Tag Team Champions.

According to several reports, Varnado and her partner Naomi (real name Trinity Fatu) who were stripped of their titles following the controversial incident are no longer part of the wrestling organization but WWE has yet to release an official statement regarding their status.

Now, Varnado is already taking non-wrestling bookings and her current asking price is raising a few eyebrows in the geek community. Turns out that the Star Wars actress is charging $30,000 for her convention and signing appearances and many believe it's too much of a fee, especially for someone of her stature.

Despite the criticism, a lot of fans still came to Varnado's defense, saying that she deserves to be paid the sum she's asking for. Check out some of the reactions below:

I mean, sure, Varnado is far from being an A-list celebrity but it's worth mentioning that she's one of WWE's top female stars. Also, her involvement in The Mandalorian definitely helped increase her stock so I think $30,000 is actually reasonable. Speaking of, we still don't know whether or not her character Koska Reeves will appear in Season 3 of the hit Star Wars series but considering she's an ally of Bo-Katan Kryze, I wouldn't be so shocked.

The Mandalorian's third season is expected to hit Disney+ in February 2023.
