Fans Comparing New Aladdin Poster to Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Now that we know more about the live-action Aladdin remake coming out this May, fans have already calmed down about Will Smith as The Genie and have gone on to make more memorable jokes. Like what you may ask? Well, the fact that Disney knows how to make one type of poster and might reuse that format for their other movies.

The Aladdin poster has been compared to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, due to the similarities in structure and color schemes. Sure, the characters might be put into different positions and none of them are ever in the same pose but there's no denying that the same aesthetic and style are being used.

Don't believe us? Check out some of the fine points made below by fans on Twitter.

It's nice seeing funny stuff on Twitter and not just nazis or sexism. Still, the poster is still visually pleasing and shouldn't be a problem for those that see the similarities between the two. Even better for those that don't see how they are similar (we all have different eyes yo).

Fans were mostly pleased with the trailer, thanks to the confirmation of classic songs that were really beloved and are still treasured by those that have Spotify playlists filled with Disney songs (you know who you are).

Aladdin comes out on May 24.
