Star Trek: Picard is already on its second episode, but if you haven't watched the pilot episode or you're curious to see what the show is all about, you're in luck because it's available to watch for free on Youtube!

CBS All Access has made the first episode available for a limited time only. However, it isn't clear as to how long the video will be up. That being said, it's a really cool way to start off the season and to possibly gain even more viewers and fans. It is also important to note that the pilot is only available in the U.S., for now, at least.

Picard is set 18 years after the events of Star Trek: Nemesis. The show follows Patrick Stewart's Jean-Luc Picard amidst his retirement in France. However, the legendary captain will be pulled back into action when a mysterious young woman seeks his help.

The show sees the return of some of The Next Generation cast, including Jonathan Frakes' Commander William Riker, Marina Sirtis's Deanna Troie, and Brent Spiner's Data. Voyager's Jeri Ryan will also be featured in the show as Seven of Nine.

While the first episode is free for fans to enjoy, the availability of the pilot on the popular site might just convince a lot more people to tune in on the iconic franchise's show.
