Millie previously confirmed that she's been in talks with both Marvel and DC for a potential role but admitted that she's yet to find a project that "feels right" for her. Now, in case you didn't know, long before the MCU and DCEU rumors began swirling all over the web, diehard fans of the Star Wars universe have actively been campaigning to see Brown in the franchise.

For years now, a lot of people have pointed out the resemblance between the actress and the late Carrie Fisher and there's a strong desire within the fandom for Millie to portray a younger version of Princess Leia Organa.

Well, according to The Mirror, the Enola Holmes star "is on Disney's radar for the new Star Wars projects". The report also claims that Millie has been in talks with Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy to play a "central role" in the Disney+ shows.

Naturally, this led to many being convinced that Millie will actually be playing a pre-original trilogy version of Leia and following the news, Star Wars aficionados couldn't stop thinking about the possibility. Check out some of the reactions below:

As it stands, Disney and Lucasfilm have yet to confirm the rumors but the idea of Millie playing Leia in the Star Wars franchise sounds like a dream come true. Sure, there are loads of characters — old and new for her to play but seeing a pre-original trilogy Leia isn't something I'm against with.

Stranger Things Season 4 is streaming on Netflix.
