Famke Janssen, who played Jean Grey in the original X-Men films, has confirmed that she will not be making an appearance in Deadpool and Wolverine.
The upcoming MCU film is expected to feature cameo appearances from several actors in the Fox X-Men franchise and fans have been speculating which cast members will likely show up.
So far, Hugh Jackman's Wolverine and Aaron Stanford's Pyro are the confirmed original X-Men actors who will appear in the film. However, it looks like there is one name that we may now cross off the list.

Famke Janssen Reveals She's Not Appearing in Deadpool and Wolverine
Speaking recently with ScreenGeek at WonderCon, Janssen was asked whether she will be reprising the role of Jean Grey in Deadpool and Wolverine.
Unfortunately, she confirmed that she won't be making an appearance in the MCU film and reuniting with her X-Men co-stars.
"I’m not in [Deadpool & Wolverine]. No. Everybody keeps asking. So, at some point, I was like, ‘Wait, am I in Deadpool, and I just don’t know it yet?’ But, no. I’m not. No, no," she said.
This is discouraging news for fans since some of them might have been looking forward to seeing Janssen as one of the returning X-Men stars in the film and playing the iconic mutant again.
However, there is also still the possibility that Janssen might also be pulling off a similar move to Andrew Garfield, who famously denied his appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home in the months leading up to its release.
For now, it looks like fans should not expect any appearance from the original Jean Grey in the film and look forward instead to the other X-Men actors who are more likely to appear.
Deadpool and Wolverine is slated for release in theaters this July 26.
