Everyone thought that Amazon Prime Video didn’t have enough faith on the Fallout series, but the show ended up being one of the most watched titles on the streamer this year.

A second season has already been greenlit, and while Ella Purnell is expected to make a return as her fan-favorite character Lucy, it looks like she still has no idea what to expect when it comes to the second season.

Ella Purnell and Fallout Season 2

Talkin to DiscussingFilm, Purnell reveals that she still hasn’t been updated as to what her role is going to be in Season 2, and she also jokes that it’s possible she might not even be in the show. She says:

“I’m excited. I really cannot wait. I don’t have anything. I don’t know when we’re going to do it. I don’t have a script. I have literally nothing. I don’t even know if I’m in it. I hope I’m in it. I think I’m in it. No, I’m probably in it.”

What’s probably shocking to a lot of fans is that Purnell is actually English, having been raised in London; but her most famous roles have her speaking with an American accent. Besides Lucy, she also voices Jinx in Netflix’s hit animated series Arcane. Purnell continues,“… But no, I don’t know anything. I’m excited. I really want to get going. I need to like, start like practicing my accent again, and getting back into the Lucy headspace.”

Lucy and the Ghoul

Lucy is one of three protagonists of the Fallout series, and she’s a true blue Vault-dweller with a can-do attitude who believes that humanity will be able to re-colonize the surface someday—and the greatest weapon in her arsenal is her positive attitude.

By the end of the season though, Lucy is already hardened by her experience in the Wasteland, and after the revelation that her father has actually been a villain that helped destroy the world, Lucy ends the season joining the Ghoul, looking for the people responsible for the Nuclear Apocalypse—who are actually just under the noses of the people of Vault 33.

It’s also worth noting that Lucy has a budding romance with Brotherhood of Steel member Maximus, but by the finale, Maximus is implied to have earned a higher rank in his faction, so there could be no room for him and Lucy to get back together—at least for that time.

Fallout Reception

Like The Last of Us before it, Fallout ended up being one of the more celebrated video game adaptations to come out in recent years. Besides the rich lore, the series has been able to come up with some great central characters that are very easy to root for.

Purnell absolutely shines as Lucy, but some can argue that the show absolutely belongs to Walton Goggins, whose Ghoul makes for an interesting nuclear cowboy zombie. Hopefully, Amazon announces a release date soon.

No release date has been announced for the second season of Fallout, but you can catch Lucy in Season 1 now available on Amazon Prime Video.
