It was recently revealed that Extraction director Sam Hargrave is involved with the second season of Star Wars: The Mandalorian as a second unit director. With his expertise, the filmmaker will be in charge of the action sequences and even promises that the scenes are on "another level."

In a recent interview with Collider, Hargrave talked about how he was approached to be on the team as well as teased what's to come in the show. "I am confident. The difference is, with Extraction, I'm in the editing room so I can be extremely confident [the action] is going to be what it's going to be," he said. "I'm not editing these episodes. But I know the footage we delivered, as a second-unit, they seemed to be happy with."

Hargrave says they worked "closely" with the stunt team as well as the team who had done the first season of the show. "You know, it was just to bring a little extra perspective, add a few things, things I've learned while working on superhero movies," he added. "Little tricks which make the performances easier and using visual effects to enhance certain things."

Bringing in experience and knowledge allowed them to "take it to another level and up the ante" as well. Hargrave teased that Season 2 is "really, really cool" and the story arcs as well. "So we tried to have the action represent that and take it to the next level," he added. "I think we did that."

With thrilling action scenes, Extraction was a success amongst Netflix users, so fans ought to be excited about what Hargrave brings to the table.
