Expect The Batman Casting News Soon With Matt Reeves’ Film Slated For Production In November

Now that Warner Brother's Joker movie starring Academy Award-winning actor Joaquin Phoenix is all done with principal photography, it looks like the studio's gearing up to work on its next Batman project, this time The Batman movie by Matt Reeves.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Batman is set to begin production this November, allowing for a late 2020 or a mid-2021 release in the DC Extended Universe. Though earlier reports said that the film would begin principal photography during summer this year, this new update by the entertainment news site confirms that the Dark Knight's fans might be getting the film a little later than they expected.

The good news is though that with a November production date scheduled for The Batman, fans can expect a bit of casting news within the next few months. Everyone's pretty eager to know just who Reeves might cast as the Caped Crusader in his project. While many have been hoping that Ben Affleck reprises his role as the DCEU's Dark Knights, there have been numerous conflicting reports about the actor's involvement in the franchise.

Some months, reports say that Affleck intends to leave the DCEU after the poor performance of Justice League and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Other months, rumors say that Affleck plans on staying in the franchise. Fans hopes of Affleck reprising his role as Batman reignited when the DCEU star was spotted at Warner Brothers' offices carrying with him a roll of papers that could only presumably be a script.

The Batman has yet to receive a release date, but we'll update everyone as soon as we get word.
