Ewan McGregor Reacts To 'Star Wars: Attack Of The Clones' Title Reveal In Awesome Throwback Videos

The wait for the Star Wars: Episode IX title reveal continues and it has come to a point where fans are begging the cast to tell them what the film will be called. However, it looks like the stars of the movie might not even be aware of the title themselves. For instance, Ewan McGregor actually learned that Episode II would be called Attack of the Clones through reporters and his reaction is absolutely awesome.

In light of all the Episode IX title reveal drama, io9 came across McGregor's old interviews while he was promoting Moulin Rouge! in 2001. One reporter decided to inform the Star Wars actor that Episode II has been given an official title and McGregor doesn't seem too sure what to do with the information at first.

This isn't the only time McGregor was told about Attack of the Clones. Another video features the Scottish actor telling his Moulin Rouge! co-star Nicole Kidman about the title and he even asks if it is "better than the Phantom Menace."

Needless to say, the early 2000s was a simpler time when the official title of a Star Wars film can be revealed so easily. Interestingly, it also confirms that the cast usually has no idea what the movie will be called until the reporters actually tell them.

There have been reports that the Episode IX title could be announced before the week is over. Let's just hope that the announcement will come with a teaser or even the full trailer for the highly anticipated movie as well.

Star Wars: Episode IX premieres on December 20.
