The entire Star Wars fandom is still reeling over the triumphant returns of Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen, 17 years after doing Revenge of the Sith. And while it may have been nearly two decades since they've worked together, the chemistry between the Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker actors is still present to this day.
Not only that, but it turns out that the Obi-Wan and Anakin "ship" is still going strong after all these years. Believe it or not, a lot of folks in the Star Wars community have been pairing the two characters romantically and they have been the subject of various memes, artworks, and fanfictions.
Shockingly enough, McGregor has been aware of the "ObiKin" ship for quite some time now. The 51-year-old actor even revealed that he's already no stranger to receiving fan art featuring homoerotic content.
Speaking with GQ Magazine (via The Direct), the Scottish actor offered his honest thoughts on the ship and said: "Yeah, in leather flares and nothing else. There’s a lot of homoerotic Obi-Wan/Hayden [Christensen] fan art that gets sent to me now and again. I don’t know how it finds me. It’s always a bit of an eye-opener. You open the envelope, you think you’re going to have to sign something, and you’re like, ‘F---ing hell!’"
