Eternals: Whose Voice Stopped Dane Whitman in the Post-Credits Scene?

The Eternals has set the future of the MCU for much longer than anyone could ever think and important characters in the fourth phase made their arrival. There is the not-so-surprise debut of Harry Styles as Starfox then Pip the Troll also made his way into the big screens. Other than the age-old band of superheroes, another bannering character in the movie is Dane Whitman played by Kit Harrington.

In the post-credits scene, Dane Whitman is alone in the room while he is contemplating what is inside of the family crest. Even when he was quite hesitant at first, he opened the case and there, he found a sword which has the words “death is my reward” inscribed on it. When Dane was about to touch the sword, it cuts to black and a voice says, “Sure, you’re ready for that, Mr. Whitman?”

People come into discussing who the voice belongs to but in a confirmation from none other than the director of the movie, Chloe Zhao, she revealed that it is another Marvel newcomer: Blade. In a chat with Fandom, Zhao said, "That was the voice of one of my favorite superheroes, Mr. Blade himself. Blade, Blade, Blade, yeah!"

It is, indeed, the voice of Mahershala Ali who would don the title of Blade in his upcoming titular film which makes perfect sense as the sword picked up by Dane Whitman is the Ebony Blade, one which Black Knight could wield. The first one to use it is a servant of King Arthur going by the name of Sir Percy and the reason why Dane is close to the sword is because the second wielder was his uncle, Nathan Garrett, his uncle who became a villain.

The Ebony Blade was forged from a meteorite with a magical enchantment making the user invulnerable to magic and it can cut through anything but the cost of it is a curse that comes with it which could turn anyone into a ruthless killer. Blade's connection is nothing random, in the comics, a fake Ebony blade was created by Dracula, a known villain of Blade.

Could it be that Blade’s appearance in the post-credits scene lead to the Dark Avengers?
