We've known for a while that Gemma Chan's Sersi will be romantically involved with Kit Harington's Dane Whitman, but it looks like Sersi is going to have multiple love interests in the film.
Talking to Vanity Fair Italia, Chan herself confirms:
"Sersi is the one that has the most affinity with humans, indeed she is even involved in two love stories, an absolute novelty for Marvel events and one of the reasons that attracted me of this project."

With word coming out that Sersi and Dane are the two lead characters for the movie, I'm really curious who this second love interest is going to be. Is Dane actually the second love interest for Sersi, or does she learn her lesson with Dane and is forced to face her feelings when a new match comes along? With Dane said to be the leading man, I'm suspecting the former, then again, we'll just have to wait and see when the movie comes out which is the right guess.
When it comes to these stories where an immortal is romantically involved with a human, you can always expect things to lead to tragedy.
For now, Marvel is busy promoting the release of Black Widow. Though the Coronavirus Outbreak has already lead to No Time to Die being cancelled, it looks like Disney is adamant about releasing Widow on its intended release date. Hopefully things blow over soon so we can get back to our regular box office releases.
Catch Eternals when it hits theaters Nov. 6.
