Eternals: BTS Song Reportedly Part of the Soundtrack

As we are approaching the release of Eternals, we are starting to hear certain information about the film and now we know what will be part of its soundtrack. Besides their original score, most MCU films have also used popular songs as either background music, being played on the radio, or performed by the characters.

According to The Direct, fifteen songs will be featured in Eternals throughout the entire film. One of them is the song "Friends" from popular Korean group BTS. The song, which is part of the group's best-selling album Map of the Soul: 7, is performed by members Jimin and V and it is about their close friendship. In addition to performing, Jimin also produced and wrote the song.

Besides "Friends," some of the other songs that are reportedly part of the soundtrack are "Time" by Pink Floyd, "Sugarfoot" by Black Joe Lewis and The Honeybears, "Stay In The Groove Pt. 1" by The Dap-Kings (ft. Rickey Calloway), "Nach Mera Hero" by Celina Sharma, "Lend Me Your Comb" by Carl Perkins, "Mama Tried" by Merle Haggard, "Juice" by Lizzo, "The End of the World" by Skeeter Davis, and "Feels Like The First Time" by Foreigner.

We don't know exactly yet how those aforementioned songs will be used in the film until we get to see it. If you look at the list, they are from different decades and the artists span worldwide which reflects the film's supposed time-spanning tale set within thousands of years and its vast scale and scope.

The reports of "Friends" being part of the film's soundtrack were met with excitement from the BTS ARMY as it will be the first time that one of the group's songs will be featured in a major Hollywood film. There are speculations that the song could be used in relation to Sersi and Ikaris' romance since the two characters are supposedly soulmates and the song's lyrics include "You are my soulmate." Perhaps we could see it being used as a background song during the characters' romantic moments. We will find out soon enough.
