What is Engage Kiss All About?

Engage Kiss centers on a love triangle involving a perpetually broke man, his ex-girlfriend/ex-colleague, and a female high schooler who happens to be a demon.

When Shuu Ogata quit his job at a Private Military Company (a demon exterminator), vowing only to take on jobs he needs to, he probably didn't think too far ahead.

Now drowned in bills and having almost nothing to get him by, he relies on the two women in his life, Ayano and Kisara, who both love him too much to leave him on his own.

Such is the unlikely story of romance, comedy, and action that keeps Shuu and the girls on their toes.

Episode 1 premiered on July 2nd outside Japan. It mostly focused on laying out the basics of the premise, including how Shuu's small company gets jobs and how much both Kisara and Ayano help him.

Fans agree that the highlight of the episode was the kiss animation, which they joke is where most of the anime's production budget went.

Out of the many observations that viewers had, mostly similar in thought, what stuck out the most was how there's the lingering possibility of the series eventually becoming a punch to the gut with Fumiaki Maruto at the story's helm.

Whether that possibility does become a reality, however, remains to be seen at this point. Fans will have to keep watching Engage Kiss to see if it happens or not!
