Emma Watson’s Idea For A Beauty And The Beast Sequel

Beauty and the Beast did pretty well when it released this year, taking cinemas by storm and raking in more than $1.1 billion dollars worldwide despite complaints that the live-action adaptation of the classic 1991 animated film didn't bring anything new to the table. Still, with numbers as strong as Beauty and the Beast, Disney is bound to try and make a sequel and lead star Emma Watson has just the idea for a follow-up.

Speaking with Access Hollywood, Watson reveals that she's pretty much unaware that fans have been clamoring for a sequel to Beauty and the Beast, saying that she "would love" to work on the project someday. Here's the sequel that she has in mind:

"I always thought that Belle had become a teacher and she would run the library in the castle, and open it up to the village. This is where I was going."

Though it does sound kind of dull compared to talking china and candlesticks, the library had always been an important place for Belle and it's just fitting to see the bookworm offering up the castle's library to the village. Watson is on to something – Disney just has to add a little spice if it ever wants to make a Beauty and the Beast sequel.

Starring Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Josh Gad and Kevin Kline Beauty and the Beast is still screening in a few cinemas across the country.
