It looks like the upcoming Men in Black spinoff/reboot will have a familiar face. Joining Thor: Ragnarok's Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson will be Emma Thompson, who fans of the series will remember seeing as Agent O during Men in Black III. Her presence would imply that this will take in the same universe as previous installments but we'll have to wait and see if the previous agents we knew are referenced.
Revealed by The Hollywood Reporter, Emma will be joining her fellow Thompson-in-name Tessa and Chris Hemsworth this month, as the filming for this spinoff starts. Admittedly, the third film in the franchise wasn't exactly considered a success by fans but that wasn't Thompson's fault and had more to do with the tired time travel story that didn't really fit well with the series' lore.
Aside from Hemsworth and the other Thompson, the cast also includes Liam Neeson and Kumail Nanjiani. This is a pretty big cast star power-wise and could be one of the better installments in the franchise. Some would argue that this isn't saying much since the first film is arguably the only good one.
Sony's Men in Black sequel/spin-off is set to release in theaters on May 17, 2019.
