Emily Swallow Shares One Takeaway From The Mandalorian Season 3 and The Fans Don't Agree

The Mandalorian Season 3 just aired its finale, and most fans have had mixed reactions to it, with some citing that it wasn’t worth the three-year wait. After its first two seasons, the Disney+ series was regarded as one of the best Star Wars shows, but now, after its third season, the fans don’t know anymore.

Before the underwhelming ending of season 3, Emily Swallow, who plays The Armorer in the series, sat down with Discussing Film to talk about the third season. According to her, season 3 is about getting through the negative reactions that come from others.

“What do I want to say that won’t give anything away? Well, I hope that people will see that there is value in allowing yourself to be uncomfortable and in listening to opinions that are challenging to you and working through that discomfort,” she said.

After the season finale aired, Discussing Film tweeted the exclusive interview with the actress, and the fans took the opportunity to counter the words of Swallow, given that they were disappointed with how the Star Wars show ended the season.

“Senseless and insubstantial talk. This season was the worst so far. The magic is gone. 🤷🏻‍♂️ This is not the way.” wrote user @Orbiter60.

Meanwhile, user @Milmiskew argued, “I’m allowing myself to realize that this season wasn’t that fucking deep.”

According to @Caucasian_Daddy, “That is 100% not the message portrayed to viewers this season lol, but go off,”

When the season first premiered, it almost got the same glory as the previous seasons until episode 3, where things began to shambles. Fans argued that season 3 tried to set up a lot of different elements that never materialized in the finale.

The show’s producer, Dave Filoni, previously said that the finale would satisfy the fans, which is kind of ironic given the audience’s reactions now. While, Brendan Wayne, who starred in the series, said that the season 3 ending will be heartbreaking.

Given Wayne’s remark, fans began to speculate and expect that the ending would hurt despite the death of one of the beloved characters; it didn’t suffice for the fans for the season to be memorable.

However, despite the majority’s reactions, some fans still hope that this underperforming season will pay off in season 4.
