It looks like A Quiet Place 2 star Emily Blunt may have met with Marvel for a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
According to a report by Cosmic Book News, Blunt just recently met with Marvel while filming Disney's next movie, Jungle Cruise. Though the details about the discussion are unknown, speculation has it that the actress could have spoken with Marvel Studios about one of the upcoming Phase 4 entries that are currently in development – perhaps Eternals, Doctor Strange 2, or Thor: Love and Thunder.
There is also speculation that Blunt could have discussed taking on a role as the Invisible Woman in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Fantastic Four. Blunt and her husband A Quiet Place 2 star and director John Krasinski, have both been huge fan-favorite choices to play the Invisible Woman and Mr. Fantastic in the Fantastic Four.
Though Marvel has yet to introduce the X-Men, Fantastic Four, Deadpool, or any of 20th Century Fox's other mutants into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we do remember that Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has teased the arrival of Marvel's First Family. Not just once, but twice. Speaking with fans during the 2019 San Diego Comic Con, Feige dropped the names of both the Fantastic Four and the X-Men.
"There's a lot of other stuff we didn't have the chance to talk about today... I didn't even have time to talk about the Fantastic Four. And there's no time left to talk about mutants," the Marvel executive said in a panel with fans.
Speaking in a separate interview during the event, Feige mentioned the Fantastic Four again, saying that he's excited about the heroes.
Of course, we can't be quite sure yet whether Blunt really did meet Marvel and if so, what kind of role she met them for. We'll just have to wait and see.
Phase 4 of the MCU begins when Black Widow premieres on May 1, 2020.
