Emilia Clarke Admits Game of Thrones Season 8 Finale Annoyed Her

It's no secret that the fans of Game of Thrones were unhappy with the way that the series ended. However, the cast and crew of the HBO series have somehow defended Season 8 for some time. Interestingly, it looks like Emilia Clarke is done pretending that she agrees with how Daenerys Targaryen's story concluded. The actress has just admitted that she was annoyed about how her character's story arc was handled in the series finale.

Clarke recently spoke to The Sunday Times where she confessed that she was unhappy about Dany's fate and how she never got justice.

"Yeah, I felt for her. I really felt for her. And yeah, was I annoyed that Jon Snow didn't have to deal with something? He got away with murder — literally," she said.

Clarke also revealed that she struggled to accept how the show was going to end and was worried about how viewers will react.

"I knew how I felt [about the ending] when I first read it, and I tried, at every turn, not to consider too much what other people might say. But I did always consider what the fans might think — because we did it for them, and they were the ones who made us successful, so it's just polite, isn't it?" she added.

But wait, that's not the only thing that Clarke admitted in her interview. Interestingly, she agrees with just about everyone who believes that the show should have lasted at least a few more seasons. "We could have spun it out for a little longer," Clarke said.

We're not exactly surprised that Clarke feels this was about the Game of Thrones finale. After all, it did look like everything was too rushed and Dany's sudden plummet into evil was unfounded. Still, it's too later for the series right now.
