Embargo for Solo: A Star Wars Story Reviews will Lift Next Week

Solo: A Star Wars Story is set to come out later this month, and after all the drama behind-the-scenes last year, some people are expecting this movie to go terribly. We're still waiting for reviews for the film to come out, and news has it that they will be hitting the net sometime next week.

As per LRM Online, the review embargo for Solo: A Star Wars Story lifts at 2 p.m. PT on May 15—ten days before the movie hits theaters. This is also the same day that the movie will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.

Films that usually withhold reviews until the movie comes out are considered to be at risk since the studio would not like people to read about the films if the critics didn't like them. With the embargo lifting ahead of Solo hitting theaters, we get an idea that Lucasfilm has total faith in the film and that the critics will love it.

Despite all the drama about the studio firing the original directors, we have been hearing nothing but good news since director Ron Howard came onboard. Based on what we've been hearing about the movie, the script is amazing, and the only reason that Phil Lord and Chris Miller were fired was because they didn't want to stick to it.

Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters May 25.
