What Is The Elusive Samurai About?
Following the slaughter of his family at the hands of the traitor Ashikaga Takauji, Hojo Tokiyuki escapes alongside a small group of devoted retainers who manage to survive the onslaught.
Among them is Suwa Yorishige, an unusual character associated with the Hojo clan and the ruler of Suwa Province.
Yorishige, who possesses a peculiar gift for clairvoyance, predicts that Tokiyuki will eventually ascend to the throne of Japan.
However, their immediate goal is to navigate through hostile territories to ensure their safety.
