Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey are reportedly not happy with the way they were treated in Grey's Anatomy. So, the former co-stars are allegedly taking revenge.
Ellen Pompeo And Patrick Dempsey Working On A Revenge Show Against Grey's Anatomy?
Patrick Dempsey and Ellen Pompeo are working on taking their revenge on the Grey's Anatomy producers. They are reportedly teaming up for a rating-grabbing TV project, sources told Radar Online.
"They're both bitter about being phased out of the show," the tipster claimed.
Pompeo, 53, starred in all 18 seasons of the medical drama. However, in the current season, she only appears in a "handful of episodes."
Meanwhile, Dempsey played Dr. Derek "McDreamy" Shepherd, but he left the series in 2015 after his beloved character was killed off. According to sources, he is "still very stung" over the allegations made in 2021 by Grey's producer James D. Parriott that he terrorized the set and had a conflict with series creator Shonda Rhimes.
"Patrick says Ellen was one of the only ones who had his back — and he'd love to work with her again, particularly in a new show that would stick it to their old colleagues and kick their butts in ratings," the insider added. "Ellen's totally up for it once she's done milking Grey's dry."
Ellen Pompeo Wants To Work With Former Grey's Anatomy Co-Star Patrick Dempsey?
Pompeo and Dempsey reunited at the Ultimate Disney Fan Event in September. When she was asked about working with Dempsey, the Nobody's Perfect star couldn't wait to respond.
"We've done some of our greatest work together," she told Extra TV. "Both of us are very proud of the work we did. We had a great time doing it, and we created something really iconic."
She continued, "I think the fans would absolutely love it."

Dempsey echoed the same sentiment, expressing interest in working with her again.
"I'd love to work with her again," he said. "It's always been a really special relationship Ellen and I have had together in front of the screen and behind it as well."
Dempsey also reflected on Grey's Anatomy's success and attributed it to his and Pompeo's chemistry.
"I think a lot of the success of the show was because of the chemistry and the relationship," he added. "People want to believe in love."
Why Ellen Pompeo Has A Reduced Role In Grey's Anatomy Season 19
Pompeo will appear on screen in a "limited capacity" in Season 19. But she will continue to narrate every episode in addition to serving as an executive producer, TV Line reported.
Pompeo reportedly wanted to scale back her role to pursue other opportunities. In another interview, the actress said she wanted the series to end after 18 seasons.
"I've been trying to focus on convincing everybody that it should end," Pompeo told Insider in December last year. "I feel like I'm the super naive one who keeps saying, 'But what's the story going to be, what story are we going to tell?'"
Thus, one should take the report about Pompeo being bitter with the Grey's producers with a grain of salt because it was her choice to have a reduced role.
