Despite "ending" her Marvel Cinematic Universe journey in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Elizabeth Olsen continues to be a bankable star outside the billion-dollar franchise, and her Hollywood stock is as high as ever.

Currently, the Scarlet Witch actress appears in the true crime drama series Love & Death and her performance as Texan axe murderer Candy Montogomery is being lauded by fans and critics. In fact, she's projected to be one of the nominees for Best Actress at this year's Emmy Awards.

You may be asking, what's next for everyone's favorite Olsen? Well, it turns out that she nearly landed a role opposite Pedro Pascal but surprisingly turned it down.

According to Discussing Film's Jacob Fisher, the tenured MCU star was recently offered a role in Zach Cregger's upcoming Horror flick Weapons, a project that would have seen her team up with The Mandalorian star.

However, the dream pairing won't be happening as Olsen reportedly rejected the project. Her reason for turning down the offer was not disclosed. The supposed film would have reunited Elizabeth and Pedro months after they broke the internet after presenting at the 9th Academy Awards.

The 34-year-old actress already has a horror film under her belt — 2011's Silent House but admittedly, she wasn't too fond of her experience. Now, we'd like to think that she's shying away from the genre more than anything.

On top of that, Olsen recently revealed that she's been quite picky when it comes to the projects she wants to do post-MCU. It just goes to show how much she wants to value her craft and I think that's pretty admirable.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth Olsen's latest show, Love & Death is streaming on HBO Max.
