Elizabeth Olsen is getting her much-deserved break from the Marvel Cinematic Universe following Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and while her future in the billion-dollar franchise seems uncertain, a new rumor suggested that she's being eyed for a role in the House of the Dragon series which has been making huge waves on streaming since its debut.

The report comes from Giant Freakin Robot whose source claims that the 33-year-old actress is currently in talks for Season 2. Interestingly, Olsen is also involved in another HBO Max production, a drama-thriller series titled Love & Death.

As soon as the rumor made its way online, fans of the Wanda Maximoff actress expressed their excitement on social media. To be fair, Olsen's name trending on Twitter has become a normal occurrence but the idea that she'll star in another media franchise has put a lot of her fans in a chokehold. Some of you may think that Olsen potentially getting involved in the project is random casting but it's worth mentioning that she once auditioned for the role of Daenerys Targaryen, a part that would ultimately be played by Emilia Clarke for all eight seasons of Game of Thrones.

As it stands, nothing has been officially confirmed yet but should the rumors surrounding her House of the Dragon casting be true, it's going to spell disaster for fans hoping to see Wanda Maximoff return to the MCU anytime soon.

House of the Dragon is streaming on HBO Max.
