Elizabeth Olsen seems to be taking a long break from the Marvel Cinematic Universe but that's not to say that she's laying low from Hollywood. In fact, the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness star is gearing up for her return to television via HBO Max's upcoming crime drama series Love & Death. On top of that, Olsen confirmed that she has signed on to star in a brand new film but details surrounding it are still being kept under wraps.
Earlier this month, reports began circulating all over the internet that the 33-year-old actress is in talks with HBO for a role in the second season of the hit Game of Thrones spinoff series House of the Dragon. In case you didn't know, long before she was the MCU's Harbinger of Chaos, Elizabeth actually tried out for the role of Daenerys Targaryen but ultimately came up short.
Now, she is finally breaking her silence amidst all the rumors and shockingly enough, she's well aware of the casting reports. Speaking with Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet of Variety's Power of Women event, Olsen dismissed her rumored involvement in Season 2 but said she'd be down to join the project. "Yeah, I mean, sure. But, like, 'what?' I don't know how things, like rumors like that get started and people think they're legitimate."

Judging by Olsen's answer, it seems like she's not in any way going to be involved in future seasons of the hit HBO series. But then again, she could just be playing coy about her actual involvement.
Meanwhile, House of the Dragon is streaming on HBO.
