Angela Bassett Reacts After Sparking An Oscar Buzz For Performance In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Angela Bassett made noise after the premiere of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Many were moved by her performance, and Marvel fans predicted that she would be the first superhero actor to win an Oscar.

Bassett seemingly acknowledged how unlikely it is for superhero actors to be given the nod in the Academy, but she also made it known that she appreciated the positive response to her performance.

"You don't do these kinds of projects for the awards," Bassett told Variety. "I appreciate the buzz on it, because I know that it doesn't really come from these big superhero movie franchises."
