Felix Solis is an American actor, film director, and producer who considers himself a "Nuyorican" for being born on the Upper West Side and raised in Greenwich Village in New York City by his Puerto Rico-born parents.

Felix is best known for taking small roles that impact fans and viewers in the short moments he had been shown on screen.

Some of these include the short 2014 film Tinto, 2004's The Forgotten as Brasher, and playing Nestor in the 2012 Man on a Ledge.

As for a larger on-screen role, Felix has previously starred in the likes of 2003's Oz series as Reynaldo Escobales, and various characters in Law & Order, The Sopranos, and One Day at a Time, to mention a few.

He lent his voice in the 2006 Grand Theft Auto video game, Vice City Stories where he played Jerry Martinez.

Throughout his career, Felix garnered four nominations, two of which complemented his performance: Best Narrative Short for Tinto (2014) and Best Supporting Actor in Drama (Television) in 2022.

This May, he's graced the screens of Netflix as the sugar mafia, El Sucre, in Jerry Seinfeld's Unfrosted comedy flick.

Who is El Sucre in Netflix's Unfrosted?

The idea came to Bob Cabana (played by Jerry Steinfeld) when Donna Stankowski (Melissa McCarthy) says, "You can never get enough sugar."

The minute she mentioned sugar, Bob made it a quest to visit El Sucre in his manor to ask for his help.

According to Bob, El Sucre is "very dangerous" and "loves live entertainment". He also controls "99% of the sugar in the world."

What makes El Sucre an enjoyable character that stands out from the rest is the fact he also makes his lines sound like he's kidding when he's not.

In this case, when McCarthy told him money was not going to be an issue for asking for all of his sugar, El Sucre said, "I know it won't. Because in my business, we have a saying: Pay us or we kill you."

"I wanted Daniel Day-Lewis to play [El Sucre] like Daniel Plainview from There Will Be Blood," Steinfeld recently shared.

It is worth mentioning, however, that Seinfeld admitted he "never called" the actor, actually, with Kimmel reminding them that Day-Lewis retired with his last film Phantom Thread in 2017.

Still, Felix Solis did the character justice despite only being shown for a few minutes compared to his castmates.
