Eddie Redmayne Asks Fans Not to Spoil Fantastic Beasts 2 Before its Release

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald comes out this month, and there has already been a press screening for the film. While some others can't contain their excitement after seeing the movie, star Eddie Redmayne asks fans who have already watched to keep quiet about the reveals until the movie gets its wide release.

With Harry Potter films usually applauded for their twist endings, I'm interested to see what Rowling has in store for Fantastic Beasts 2. Admittedly the first movie didn't have the same gut-punch reveal that Sorcerer's Stone did, but I'm crossing my fingers that this sequel will get us back to the more familiar Potter formula that made the franchise such a success in the first place.

So far, reactions for the movie have been very positive, but it might be best to wait for the wide release before finding out what the final verdict on the movie is. If Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Venom would teach us something, the critics' opinion really doesn't give us a gauge on how the fans will receive it anymore. Sure they love Fantastic Beasts 2, but the fans could be singing something different when the movie finally comes out.

In an effort to thwart Grindelwald's plans of raising pure-blood wizards to rule over all non-magical beings, Albus Dumbledore enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided world.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald comes out Nov. 16.
