EA Announces When the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Reveal will Drop

While a lot of gamers were bummed that Star Wars Battlefront II would be skipping out of EA Play this month, they can get excited about their first look at the gameplay for Respawn Entertainment's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The game will feature heavily during the event, and EA announced when you can catch the reveals.

As per the announcement, the reveal for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will take place on June 8, 9:30 a.m. PT. You can also stream the event on EA.com on the day itself.

Though Battlefront II is admittedly a great game (despite what some people might tell you), the shooter genre isn't for everyone, and fans have been waiting for a classic hack and slash platformer that would be like this generation's Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. With Fallen Order, it's not just so much about swinging around your lightsaber, but also about hiding from enemies and making sure you aren't outed as a former Jedi.

The game will focus on new character Cal Kestis (Cameron Monaghan), who was a padawan during the time of the Jedi purge. The story will likely deal with Cal as he's forced into hiding, and he will then have to run from Sith Inquisitors who have discovered that he was a former Jedi.

The Fallen Order reveal comes out June 8, but the official game will be available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC come Nov. 15.
