Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's Rampage Moved Up A Week To Avoid Infinity War

Fans were shocked when Marvel announced that Avengers: Infinity War would show earlier than anyone expected. Moving from May 4 to April 27, this caused many fans to rejoice for what has to be the biggest MCU installment, at least until next year's Avengers 4.

Considering the hype, it's easy to see why Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's Rampage moved its release to avoid conflicting with the Marvel film.

Originally slated for an April 20 release, the video game adaptation will now be moving a week earlier to April 13. Had Rampage stayed on its original release date, it would have only had a week to make a profit before being thwarted by Infinity War, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Honestly, no one can blame New Line Cinema for moving the film since Infinity War is arguably the biggest film of 2018. While Rampage does have Dwayne Johnson's unparalleled charisma and star power, especially after Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle became a smash hit, it's hard to say if the former WWE Champion is enough to make a profit in the same week as The Avengers.

Rampage is now showing on April 13.
