Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering, two major fantasy properties by Wizards of the Coast, are crossing over again. Penguin Random House recently listed a new Dungeons & Dragons book called Mythic Odysseys of Theros, a new campaign setting book for the MTG plane of Theros, which is based off of ancient Greek mythology.
Mythic Odysseys of Theros will be available this May, making it the second D&D campaign book released in 2020. The cover originally posted on the Penguin Random House's website was taken down, but it's still visible via Google cache. It features a Greek-inspired warrior fighting a Hydra. The D&D campaign book was also leaked on Reddit last week.
A D&D campaign set in the world of Theros would be exciting to fans of both properties, but I rather see one set in the streampunk world of Kaladesh.
This book marks the second crossover between Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering, following the release of Guildmaster's Guide to Ravnica in 2018.
Mythic Odysseys of Theros will be released in hardcover on May 19. The latest MTG set Theros Beyond Death is now available.
