After six long years of waiting, your favorite wizard-detective Harry Dresden is back this year!

As always, the cover features the protagonist Harry Dresden with his fedora hat. He doesn't actually wear the hat in the books, he only has that in the covers, and the heroic wizard-detective even joked about that at one point.

"It was a bit of a bumpy ride, but Harry Dresden is finally back in the saddle!" Butcher told EW. "Twenty years of Dresden Files has been an amazing adventure for me, and after a period of tremendous personal difficulty, it feels great to be working at pace again. I hope to make this year a ridiculous amount of fun for my readers, with a 20-year anniversary celebration, contests, giveaways, regular drops of Dresden Files background and microfiction, interviews, and anything else I can fit into the time."

EW also shared an excerpt from Peace Talks. You can read it here.

Here's what the Butcher previously said about Peace Talks:

Peace Talks will hit shelves on July 14, 2020. It's now available for pre-order on Amazon. This will be the first new Dresden Files novel since 2014's Skin Game.

Jim Butcher is planning to write Book #2 of his steampunk Cinder Spires series after he completes Peace Talks. It will be called The Olympian Affair.
