Drax Needs A Clean-Up In Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 Set Photo

With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 set to come out in a month, director James Gunn has decided to share on picture from the production every day till the movie comes out. The first picture he released showcases Dave Bautista's Drax covered in alien slime.

In the trailers for GOTG 2, we see Drax going up against a tentacled monster called an Abilisk, and it swallows him whole. We also see a clip of Drax stabbing the thing from the inside, so we can only assume that the picture of Drax covered in slime would be him getting out of the Abilisk.

Seeing that half of Bautista's body requires to be covered in make-up to play Drax, Gunn has also pointed out how uncomfortable Bautista must have been, having to be covered in all that slime. Surely it would take more than an hour to wash all of that off.

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,' Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team's adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill's true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes' aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.
