Dragon Shou-Lao Confirmed To Appear in Netflix's Iron Fist

Iron Fist star Finn Jones has confirmed that Shou-Lao, the dragon vital to the emergence of his hero, will make an appearance in his Netflix series. As the comic book fans know, Shou-Lao, the legendary beast, is the one test, trial, or creature that a champion must defeat or confront to inherit the Iron Fist mantle.

The star makes this bit of an admission in an interview with Empire Magazine. Comic Book Resources posts that part of the conversation below:

"He comes back and says: ‘Hey, guess what? I've been in this place called K'un Lun for years, I've got this thing called the Iron Fist and I met a dragon!' And everybody's like, ‘What the fuck are you talking about? You're insane.'"

It's not much of a teaser but Jones did let out that Danny Rand has visited the sacred city and "met" a "dragon."

It would be great to know if they actually fought or came to some kind of detente. From the little that he has said, the Dragon might still be alive, well and kicking - and one day soon, appear in New York City. Jones, who has been practicing his martial arts skills, might also be brewing an idea by then on what that mysterious entity would be like.

Iron Fist, starring Finn Jones, David Wenham, and Rosario Dawson, will start streaming on Netflix on March 17, 2017.
