Dragon Ball Z 30th Anniversary Home Video Release Announced

Toei Animation

If you're thinking of buying a Dragon Ball Z box set, you may want to grip tight on your cash and wait because a new home video release for your favorite shonen anime series is coming.

In the February 2019 issue of License Global magazine (via Kanzenshuu), Toei Animation senior manager of licensing and marketing Lisa Yamatoya said that along with Funimation, they will release a 30th-anniversary collectible home video this month.

That's great news for those who are planning to get a full Dragon Ball Z video collection.

In addition to the 30th-anniversary home video release, Yamatoya also revealed that Toei is partnering with Overlook to host a Dragon Ball Z symphony concert in the U.S. and Canada. "The audience can listen to the symphony while clips from the show play, allowing fans to see the story on-screen with live music," Yamatoya said.

Dragon Ball fans have a lot to look forward to this year. Hopefully, they will also announce new Dragon Ball Super episodes soon.

Dragon Ball Super: Broly is now showing in select theaters. It will be available on April 16, 2019, with the tagline: "Bring home the box office berserker!". Dragon Ball Super manga is currently on its Galactic Prisoner arc.
