Over on Twitter, the Dragon Ball Super official account shared a new sizzle reel announcing the new release date. The highly anticipated shonen movie was originally slated to release in April 2022, but nowwe know that it will be released in Japan on June 11, 2022.

If you're wondering why Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero was delayed, Toei Animation was under attack last month by a third-party hacker. The company released a statement confirming the attack impacted several of its internal systems. According to the studio, the hack involved rannsomware, and now, a private investigation into the incident is being done.

For now, there's no word on how this news will affect the theatrical release for North America and other regions. The film was originally set to release in North America this summer, but the shift of release date in Japan could push back the original release dates globally.
