Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Promo Reveals New Look at Piccolo's Ultimate Form


Dragon Ball Super may have postponed its next movie, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, but the hype continues to ramp up thanks to Toei Animation pumping out new promos for the highly-anticipated shonen film. The anime hasn't released new content since 2018, and the major return promises to put Z-Fighters other than Goku and Vegeta in the spotlight, including Gohan and Piccolo. In fact, the Namekian father-like figure to Gohan is getting a new form in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, and now, we have a new look at the power-up.

The new promo comes from Toei Animation's latest save of film merchandise in Japan. Recently, sample artwork of Dragon Ball Super phone revealed a new look at the anime's next movie, and it reveals a fresh look at Piccolo's new transformation with Gohan beside him.

As you can see Piccolo's new transformation changes his body with an aura flash, but little is known about his new form. It could be similar to Gohan's Ultimate form, so expect the Namekian to fully unleash his inner strength during his battle with Gamma 1 and Gamma 2. The Namekian was shown battling the new androids in the latest trailer for the movie.

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero's April 2022 Japanese theatrical release date was postponed due to the Toei Animation Hack, but Toei Animation hasn't announced a new theatrical release date yet. The movie is slated to release in North American theaters this summer, but there's still no word on whether or not the hack affected its release schedule.
